CSBP supports regional WA scholars

CSBP has continued its long-term support of agriculture in Western Australia, offering a scholarship worth $30,000.

The scholarship is one of 25 available through the Nuffield Australia Scholarship program, which aims to build long-term capacity of Australian agriculture and cultivate global networks to help drive change in the industry.

CSBP’s scholarship will be offered to a Western Australian primary producer, with the winning recipient embarking on an 18-month global study program to learn more about their chosen topic in an innovative learning environment.

Tanya Rybarczyk, General Manager CSBP Fertilisers, said CSBP is committed to building sustainable communities and shaping the future of agriculture in WA.

“We value working with organisations that understand how to make a difference in regional communities. Our partnership with Nuffield Australia is a perfect fit, as the scholars’ give their time and expertise back to the local community.

“For our scholarship, this means that regional WA benefits,” she said.

This is the seventh time CSBP has offered the scholarship, with the recipient joining an alumni of over 400 primary producers nationally, working to advance agriculture in Australia.

Andrew Fowler, Chairman Nuffield Australia and based in Esperance WA, said the program is a very targeted and proven way of investing directly into the advancement of Australian agriculture.

“The benefits of the Nuffield Scholarship do not cease on the scholars’ return to Australia. Rather, as a consequence of the scholars’ experience, they are committed to a life-long involvement in the international Nuffield network driven by a thirst for continued learning,” he said.

Applications are now open for 2020 via the Nuffield website and close on Friday 14 June 2019.
